
Mangaluru: B.H.V. Prasad, Project Executive Director of MRPL said, “More opportunities in the industrial sector are opening up as a result of globalization. We need to utilize those opportunities and to adopt a positive attitude in life.”
He was speaking as chief guest at the Canara Engineering College 16th convocation ceremony on Saturday evening at the TV Ramana Pai Convention Center. 461 students of the 2020 batch were awarded the degree.
M. Annappa Pai, president of the college’s administration council Canara High School Association, presided over the event and said learning should be continuous. M. Padmanabha Pai, the Vice President of the Administrative Council conducted the oath-taking ceremony.
Administrative Board Secretary M Ranganath Bhatt speaking on this occasion and said we must contribute to the process of national development.
“Think positive, spread happiness, and achieve your goals using the available opportunities,” he advised.
At the same time, the college’s e-annual issue, the CEC Bulletin edited by Sandeep Prabhu was released by guest BHV. Prasad, along with other dignitaries.
The principal of the college, Dr. Ganesh V. Bhat welcomed the gathering. Associate-Professor Satish S. Nadig introduced the guest. Students Diana Goodino, Sindhu Bhatt, Tejaswini Holla, Kushal D, VidyaBaliger shared their opinions.
M Vamana Kamath, Treasurer of the College’s Board, Co-Treasurer, Basti Purushottam Shenoy, Members Panchamal Gopalakrishna Shenoy, T. Gopal Krishna Shenoy, Srikantha Pai Kasthuri, Dr.P. Umananda Mallya, Administrative Council member M Vinayaka Kamath and the head of the departments of the college were present at the event.
