Mangaluru: A complaint has been registered with the Dharmasthala police station against individuals who reconstructed homes as per MLA Harish Poonja’s directives regarding the purported construction of houses within the forested region.
On October 8, the event occurred in Amminadka, Kalenja village, Belthangady taluk. The forest department personnel had dismantled the dwelling, including its foundation, due to its unauthorized construction. MLA Poonja had visited the location and directed the rebuilding of the house in the presence of forest officials. Forest officer Jayaprakash filed a complaint against 11 villagers regarding the reconstruction of the illicit house.
A case has been filed at the Dharmasthala police station against the following individuals: Lolaksha , Harish Koila, Prasanna Manigeri, Yashwanth Gowda, Nonayya Gowda, Janardhana Gowda Kudda, Padmanabha Gowda Kudda, Dhananjaya Gowda Banderi, Ramachandra Mestri, Srinivas Gowda Kudda, and Udaya Gowda Kudda, all in connection with the incident.
