Mangaluru: State health minister B Sriramulu has said that the state government has already taken up measures to treat coronavirus-infected patients in the city.

Addressing the media on Thursday, February 6, at the district BJP office, he said, “If any individual’s report comes back positive for coronavirus, the state government has already made the necessary arrangements based on the order of Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa. As many as 10 beds have been reserved in each district hospital and private hospital for coronavirus patients. To make the people aware of such arrangements, LED banners have been fixed on vehicles.”

“The people have developed a fear of the deadly virus. A thorough check has been initiated at all airports and port areas to screen for people showing symptoms of the disease,” he added.
