‘Working with satisfaction and happiness will create positive environment’

Mangaluru: A two-day training programme was held by the State Department of Prisons and Vruksham Talent Group, Bengaluru on capacity building and development for the Mangaluru Prison staff on Wednesday, April 27.

Jail Superintendent Krishna Murthy, addressing the trainees said that the programme would help to enhance professional skills and help deal with different situations in work.

District Sessions Court Judge, Uma MG delivered the inaugural address. She said that Vruksham Talent Group was conducting such programme for the first time in Mangaluru. More than half of the staff in government departments is dissatisfied in their jobs. Programmes like these helps one in instilling new vigour.

“Working with dissatisfaction and will affect our personal lives. Working with satisfaction and happiness will create positive environment for oneself and the entire workplace,” she said.

Superintendent of police, Dr Sharanappa S D said that prisons are filled with numerous prisoners and that creates more pressure on the staff.

“The prison should make their mind up and decide that no illegal activity would take place inside the jail. Every staff should work with the motive to serve the society,” he said.
