Kasargod: The dead body of a farmer was found in the waters of the dam near Manjeshwar on Saturday, February 1 morning.

The deceased has been identified as Dayananda (49), a resident of Badaji Nejikar.

According to sources, Dayananda had been missing since two days and his sister had lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.

When on their way to school, a few students discovered the corpse floating in the waters and informed the locals.

Dayananda’s body was taken to the Mangalpadi Taluk Hospital.

The Manjeshwar police have filed a case in this connection and investigations are currently underway.
