Kasaragod: In a heinous and deplorable incident, a girl who was on the way to the Madrasa was lifted in the air and slammed to the ground by a man in the Madrasa premises at Manjeshwara here.

The incident was reported near Udyavar on Thursday November 17. The accused is Aboobacker Siddique, a resident Kunjathur of Manjeshwara.

The Manjeshwar station police has arrested him. The incident occurred on the morning of Thursday at about 7.00 am. The 9-year-old girl who was critically injured has been admitted to Mangaluru Hospital.
