Karwar: A youth escaped miraculously from the clutches of a crocodile on the prowl in Kali River near Dandeli of Uttara Kannada district.

Takku Gangu Bajari (30), a resident of Badakanashida village was attacked suddenly by a crocodile, while he was trying to rinse his hands in Kali River, which flows beside his house. Caught unawares, youth Bajari struggled and managed to escape. Crocodile, in the process of dragging Bajari inflicted injuries on his body, especially legs.

Locals admitted the injured to a nearby government hospital. He was later shifted to a hospital in Hubballi for further treatment.
