Karwar: The SSLC results are out and there is a reason for Uttara Kannada district to celebrate.

A girl from the district has bagged first rank in the state. Another student from the district has bagged fourth rank in the state.

Naganjali Naik from Kumta CVSK high school has bagged 625 out of 625 and has become state topper for this year.

The district bagged 88.12 percent result. It stood second in the state last year.

Naganjali, is the daughter of a retired Border Security Force (BSF) jawan.
