Karwar: Two bikers died on the spot when the two-wheelers they were riding in full throttle collided head on at Dusagi in Haliyal limits. One pillion suffered serious injuries in the incident.

Sachin Kalyankar (18), a resident of Alnavara in Haliyal and Dheeraj Giri (19) of Dandeli are the deceased. A seriously injured Vinayak has been moved to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi for treatment.

Traffic on the busy Khanapur-Talaguppa National Highway was disrupted for some time following the incident.

Haliyal Police have registered a case.
