Sirsi: A 21-year-old girl died after she slipped and fell into the sea in Gokarna in Kumta taluk while taking a selfie here on Sunday.
Pranita Sunil Mehta of Jodhpur in Rajasthan is the deceased.

Pranita along with four friends had been to Gokarna beach on a tour after visiting Mumbai and Goa. Pranita reportedly slipped while taking a selfie near the lighthouse and fell into the sea.

Though her friends informed the local fishermen they could only recover her body.

A case has been registered by the Gokarna police.
