Karwar: In a heart wrenching incident, a man rendered bedridden due to paralysis spent one week with the dead body of his wife, at Karwar.

Ananda (55) had been living in KHB Colony with his wife Girija. Unfortunately, Girija died of cardiac arrest about a week ago and Ananda was only able to watch her helplessly.

Girija was the bread-winner for the family of two. She used to go to houses nearby and work as a domestic help. When her employers reached her house to inquire why she did not turn up for work for a week, they were shocked to find her dead.

Karwar police have taken the body away and have admitted Ananda to a hospital.
