Karwar: Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi- 2019 is being held and a lad from Karwar has made the nation proud by bagging a gold in Table Tennis.

Krishna Harikanthra from Kumta in Uttara Kannada district has won gold in the Table Tennis single finals (men’s category). He defeated Syberian opponent by 16-12. He cruised his way into the finals by defeating the Swiss contender in the quarter finals and Egyptian opponent in the semi-finals.

He is the student of Kumta Dayanilaya school for people with special needs.
