Karwar: Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Prabhulinga Kavalikatti has instructed the sector officers to act responsibly as per the guidelines of the Election Commission besides maintaining law and order in the Karnataka General Assembly elections.

Speaking at a training workshop of sector officers organised at district theatre in Karwar city, he said that the sector officers should have information about the guidelines and directions issued by the Election Commission and in case of any lapses, they should seek information from the concerned authorities and find a solution and act as per the election guidelines along with maintaining law and order.

Later, Sub-Divisional Officer Jayalakshmi Rayakode said that sector officers and staff should understand the guidelines issued by the Election Commission and work. He asked the officials to take information in this workshop and find a solution in case of any kind of confusion related to the elections. Later, Dr. Shashi Sekhar Reddy delivered a special lecture on the Training Workshop of Sector Officers. The workshop was attended by probationary ISI officer Zubeen Mohapatra, district-level and taluk-level officials.
