Karwar: A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at various places in Sirsi in Uttara Kannada District.

A house in Tipu Sultan Nagar in Sirsi was raided and one person was taken into custody. SDPI Leader Hazeez Abdul Shukur Honnavar has been taken into custody.

The raid was conducted on suspicion of having links with terrorist organisations. Earlier also, the NIA team had conducted raids in Bhatkal.
