Karwar: Four workers were seriously injured by a lightning strike in Mudga of the Karwar district.

The injured are identified as Nithya Durgekar, a resident of Baitakhol, Harvard Banta Harikantra, Madhu Harikantra and Ajay Kishan from Orissa.

The incident occurred when the four were repairing a boat in the Mudga fishing port.

Ajay Kishan was seriously injured in the incident and all the four were admitted to the district hospital for treatment.
