Honnavar: In a road accident, five persons were killed when a Tempo Traveler was hit by a speeding tanker near Karki in Honnavar in Uttar Kannada district on Saturday, September 15.

According to the sources, a Tempo Traveler plying from Kumta to Honnavar was hit by a speeding tanker from the opposite direction. As a result, five persons who are travelling in Tempo Traveler were killed on the spot. Meanwhile, several others who were travelling in the same vehicle and tanker were also injured and were shifted to the Honnavar Taluk hospital. The details of the deceased is yet to be known.
