Karwar: At least three people were killed in a ghastly road accident after a car rammed into an electric pole in Nachkabaga Majali, Uttara Kannada on June 29.

The deceased have been identified as Shrinivas Harikathantri, a resident of Konevada, Shambu Negalooru of Sankrivada in Karwar. The identity of the third victim remains unknown.

It is gathered that the victims were returning to Karwar via Goa National Highway when the mishap occurred.

Police, with the help of locals, shifted the mortal remains to hospital. Chithakula Police have registered a case.
