Karwar: Three members of a family died in a collision between a bike and a tipper on a highway near Binaga on February 27.

Amit Kaushal (31), a native of Uttar Pradesh and employed at Naval base in Karwar, his wife Jyothi Guptha (25) and their two-year-old child are the deceased.

Amit Kaushal, along with the rest was heading towards Karwar from Binaga on National Highway 66, when the accident took place. The speeding tipper truck moving towards Ankola crashed into the bike and toppled killing all the three.

A case stands registered at traffic police station.
