Karwar: An elderly, who was assaulted by an employee of Sea Bird Naval Base is battling for life and his condition is said to be critical.

The victim, Govind Malsekar, 70 is working as a security guard in a private company in Karwar. It is said that Malsekar shunned away a cattle from his company premises. The bovine then ran into a bike of Naval Base employee, throwing him on the ground. Raged by this, the accused barged into the company premises and bashed up Malsekar. His condition is said to be critical. He has been admitted rushed to Mangaluru for advanced treatment.
