Women’s startup programme inaugurated

Bengaluru: Around 50 prospective women entrepreneurs from across the country, who had participated in a five-week online course run by the Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore, were part of a women’s startup programme inaugurated by the NS Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning at the institute on Monday.They were selected from over 1,700 women who had participated in the online course. They will now undergo a three-week programme to develop a “robust solution”. This startup programme has been developed in partnership with Goldman Sachs and has been initiated to help women who are keen to become entrepreneurs. A release issued by IIMB said that they will interact with 25 potential customers and may have to modify their proposals. The programme, besides helping participants improve their entrepreneurship skills, will also provide modest financial support for some of the top business plans.
