Bengaluru: A woman volunteer working at an Ashram was found murdered in her room on Wednesday morning.
The deceased is identified as Kiran Singh (45). She was a native of Delhi and was working as a volunteer in Manasa Ashram situated at Chikkagubbi from the past few years.
According to police, Kiran’s legs and hands were tied up before smothering her to death. Prima facia, it looks as murder for gain, police sources said.
The incident came to light when a maid of the Ashram went to her room in the morning.
The police suspects that she could have been murdered by the persons well known to her.
Kothanur police have registered a case and are investigating the same.
