Bengaluru: A 22-year-old B.Com graduate from the T Dasarahalli of the city approached the Bagalagunte police alleging that she was cheated by a youth who married her by concealing his HIV status.

In her complaint, the newlywed woman informed that she was married on July 15 with the youth, who is from Bagalagunte. “Recently when I fell ill, I went for a check-up. At that time I tested positive for HIV. When I told my husband about this, he said that he is HIV positive and that he had gotten infected with the virus before marriage,” she alleged.

“My husband and his parents have also been harassing me for more dowry,” she added in the complaint.

The Bagalagunte police have launched an investigation in this regard.
