Bengaluru: A man attacked a college student in Ramanagaram district with a machete on Tuesday for allegedly refusing to marry him. According to police, Mamta David (20), a B.Com student, is a resident of Thattaguppe.
The police said the accused, Williams (26), an unemployed, has been known to Mamta for many years. According to the police, Williams had proposed to Mamta but she refused to marry him. It made Williams to attack Mamta with a machete. Villagers who witnessed the incident rushed her to a private hospital for treatment.

A case has been registered with the Kaggalipura police station.
