Bengaluru: Close on the heels of speculations making rounds that Minister CT Ravi may resign from the state cabinet as he has been promoted as BJP national general secretary, the minister, on Sunday said that he will step down if the party directs him to do so.
“I am a sincere soldier of the BJP. I have always acted as per the directions of the party. If I am asked to resign, I will do the same without second thought. I had never lobbied for ministerial berth and I never asked for promotion within the party,” he said adding that he will never let the party leaders down.
While stating that he will continue to work like any other party worker, Ravi said that despite having reached Delhi, he will always remain connected to the state.
“I will only toil to fortifiy the state even after working in Delhi,” he said.
