
Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has announced weekend curfew in border districts of Maharashtra and Kerala as well as night curfew across the State from 9.00 pm to 5.00 am.
He was addressing media persons here on Friday August 6 after holding discussions with Health, Education and other concerned experts with regard to control of likely third wave of Corona in the State at his residence, Krishna here. He said that the decision was taken after instructions by the Central Government and after looking at Pan-India situation. The police department has been ordered to implement curfew strictly.

Bommai said, “we are reopening schools in phases. Classes 9, 10, 11 and 12 will begin first in alternate batches from August 23 and post that looking at the Covid situation at the month end a decision to reopen classes 1 to 8 will be taken.”
Replying to query by reporters on task force formation, Bommai said that Covid task force will be set up in the State within next two days.
