Bengaluru: The state government has appointed senior IAS officer TM Vijay Bhaskar as Chief Secretary to the government of Karnataka and D V Prasad as the Additional Chief Secretary on June 30.

A 1983 IAS batch officer, Bhaskar was serving as the Additional Chief Secretary and will replace outgoing chief secretary Ratna Prabha, whose term expires today (June 30).
