Ramanagara: A woman employee of the state cooperative department committed suicide in the Kallanakuppe village, Ramanagara taluk. She hanged herself from a pole installed in front of a temple in the village.

According to the Harohallli police, who registered an FIR in this regard, the deceased has been identified as Hemavati, a typist working with the cooperative department in the Vidhana Soudha.

Locals informed the police that Hemavati was a regular at the temple for the past two years. So far, no reason has been attributed to her suicide.
