Bangalore: Two gym instructors were arrested by the Bangalore police today for the Vibgyor rape case where a child was allegedly raped on July 2. The gym instructors have been booked under a stringent law on protecting children from sexual crimes.

The police have not yet given a clean chit to the skating instructor who was arrested last week, but they are uncertain of his role. Police say that he might have destroyed evidence. His seized laptop had revealed that his seized laptop and mobile phone were loaded with child porn.”The man arrested earlier – his role is still being investigated,” Bangalore police chief MN Reddy said, adding, “A complaint from his earlier school has been registered.”

The school reopened this Monday, after it installed 110 CCTV cameras and assured parents that it had followed all the police guidelines.

The first grade student was allegedly raped after she was asked to leave her classroom for misbehaving. The crime was discovered almost a week later, leading to street protests by parents across the IT city.

The school’s chairman Rustam Kherawalla was also arrested for failing to inform the police and destruction of evidence.
