Bengaluru: Kolar MLA Varthur Prakash has accused Health and Family Welfare Minister K.R. Ramesh Kumar of trying to practice hate politics in Kolar constituency and in Srinivasapur segment.
Speaking to media persons, Prakash said Kumar had got a case filed against him by pressuring police officers. “It is a false case and was filed as part of the hate politics of Kumar,” the MLA said.
He alleged that Kumar had the support of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for all his acts. He said the Minister was “shedding blood” in his home constituency Srinivasapur and was now trying to spread it to Kolar. “My supporters will make all efforts to defeat Kumar in the next elections,” he said.
Responding to a question, the legislator said he was not afraid of being arrested following a case filed by a Dalit woman. “I am wandering around in the constituency and waiting for the police to come and arrest me,” he claimed.
The rural police have filed an FIR against Prakash and five associates on the charge of grabbing land from a Dalit family.
