Bengaluru: Senior IAS officer V Anbu Kumar has been appointed as the new commissioner of the Department of Public Instruction (DPI).

He is a 2004 cader IAS officer. He has served BBMP and other important departments in the past.

Incumbent commissioner KG Jagadisha has been transferred as the secretary to Coffee Board for a period of five years.

B Sharat, who was transferred out of Mysuru from DC’s post without showing any posting has been appointed as the MD of Silk Marketing Federation.
