Unruly Mob Clashes over Silly Issue at Gundlupete

Chamarajanagara:The unruly mob pelted stoned on police jeeps owing to the clashes between the men of two different sects over past enmity resulted chaos being reported from Bheemanabeedu village, Gundlupete taluk, Chamarajanagara district.

The sub-inspector Chennesh and two policemen sustained injuries owing to unruly mob.It was learned that the men of two different sects clashed during Ambedkar Jayanti in Bheemanabeedu village in the past.

Meanwhile, a person from a particular sect was assaulted by a person belonging to another sect, when the latter was found walking in their street. The person who was assaulted lodged a complaint with the local police.When the police arrived at the village in their jeeps, the mob began to pelt stones on police automobiles.The chaos prevailed for a while till additional policemen arrived on the spot.

The sub-inspector on duty Chennesh and two policemen were injured in the incident.  Four police automobiles including three jeeps were damaged by the unruly mob.The police arrested 30 people in this regard.

SP Rajendra Prasad, DySP Muttuswamy Naidu visited the spot and situation is under control as more security personnel are guarding the tense locality.
