Bengaluru: After naming subsidised food canteens after former prime minister late Indira Gandhi, the state government is planning to name the ambitious universal health scheme which will be introduced from November 1 this year after another party leader, former prime minister late Rajiv Gandhi.
According to KPCC sources, party leaders have already urged the Chief minister in this regard.
“On Monday, senior ministers who are original Congressmen urged the CM to name this scheme after Rajiv Gandhi. CM also have responded positively,” sources informed.
