Bengaluru: A software engineer from the city, who lost job due to Covid-19, lost Rs 83,000 to a conman who offered him a job as call boy.

The victim has approached city cyber police.

According to the sources, the victim had uploaded his resume on a few employment websites seeking a job after he was terminated from the company.

A person called him informing that if he is keen then there is a job of a call boy available and the registration fee is Rs.83,000.

Once the victim paid the amount the caller went missing.

Cyber police launched an investigation in this regard.
