Bengaluru: Under pressure from various sides, the Central Government, on Friday, October 4, released Rs 1,200 crores as interim flood relief to Karnataka.

A decision in this regard was made during a Union Cabinet meeting held on Friday.

The Central Government is believed to have made this announcement out of fear that an anti-Modi sentiment might grip the state because of the infighting in the BJP and the verbal duels between several of its leaders.
