New Delhi/Bengaluru: Former ISRO Chairman Professor U R Rao, Veteran Kannada actor Bharathi Vishnuvardan and Girish Bhardwaj, well known as “Bridgeman” are among the 7 Padma Awardess from the state for the year 2017.

Among the Awardees only Professor U R Rao, Space Scientist gets Padma Vibhushan and  the rest get Padmashree.
