Bengaluru: A typo error in a tweet by former CM Siddaramaiah has now led to several memes on social networking sites.
All started with CM BS Yediyurappa announcing a package of Rs.1,610 crores for the people from various walks of life including washermen, flower growers etc.
Immediately, Siddaramaiah took to twitter to register his disagreement to the announcement of mere Rs.25,000 per acre as relief to small scale flower growers.
The former CM said that the flower growers spend an estimated sum of Rs 50 lakhs per acre and it is unfair that the government declared only Rs 25,000 per acre.
“Half of their losses must be compensated,” said Siddaramaiah.
The netizens, who realised that the former CM wanted to write Rs 50,000, but ended up writing Rs 50 lacs, started churning out memes.
While some mocked Siddaramaiah for the false claim, many made memes connecting the error to the various alleged scams of Congress leaders.
Meanwhile, Siddaramaiah’s associates informed that it is a typo error, which will be rectified.
