Bengaluru: Two seers from Karnataka i.e. Nirmalananda Natha Swamy of Adichunchanagiri mutt and Madara Chennaiah seer of Madara Chennaiah Gurupeeta in Chitradurga participated in the foundation stone laying ceremony for Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, on Wednesday.

Both the seers had the darshan of idol of Lord Ram later.

A total of 175 dignitaries from across the country had participated in the event.

Speaking to Karnataka media, Madara Chennaiah informed that the event was a grand one.

“The entire Ayodhya city was decorated for the event. Seers were allowed to take darshan of the idol. If there was no Covid-19, the entire country would have arrived at Ayodhya,” he said.

Both the seers were invited by the trust through Vishwa Hindu Parishat Karnataka chapter.
