Bengaluru: In the first case, a seven-year-old girl, a class 2 student, was sexually abused allegedly by a neighbour at Nayandanahalli on Tuesday.
The suspect was identified by the police as John (47), a bar tender. He also happens to be a colleague of the victim’s father.
The girl’s parents were at work when the incident took place. When her mother returned in the evening, the girl was crying. She then narrated the sequence of events to her mother.
The girl’s parents and residents of the area, then caught hold of John, who was in an inebriated state at his home, beat him up and handed him over to Chandra Layout police.
Toddler molested
A three-year-old girl was molested allegedly by a neighborhood tailor in Peenya on Wednesday.
The victim started screaming which alerted passersby.
They rescued the girl and caught Siddachari, a tailor from T. Dasarahalli and beat him up.
The accused managed to escape before the police could reach the spot.
Police have registered a case under POCSO and have launched a search for the suspect.
