Bengaluru: Reports have surfaced that two Janata Dal (Secular) legislators have fallen prey to the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) alleged infamous ‘Operation Lotus’, on Tuesday, December 17.

According to sources, two legislators – Srirangapatna constituency MLA Ravindra Srikantaiah and Nagamangala constituency MLA Suresh Gowda have decided to join the BJP.

Political experts have opined that the BJP might have pulled the two JD(S) legislators to their side to strengthen the party’s hold in the Mandya and Mysuru regions, as it currently doesn’t have a stronghold in here.
