Bengaluru: In separate incidents, two housewives were murdered on Tuesday night, August 16.

In both the cases their husbands were held as accused.

In RR Nagar, Basha (28) smothered his wife to death over a family feud. The deceased is identified as Chand Bi (25), a native of Yadagiri. The couple has two kids and they were sent to a relative’s house when the incident occurred. Later, the accused, who works as mason, surrendered to the police.

In another incident, Urmila was allegedly killed by her husband after he hit her head with an iron mould. The accused Sanjay had moved to the city from Uttar Pradesh ten years ago. The couple has two mentally challenged children and the incident happened as they watched. But, they were unable to gauge the gruesome act, police said.
