Bengaluru: Two labourers were charred to death after an accidental fire broke out in a furniture manufacturing factory in Bengaluru west suburb on Friday.
“The fire broke out at 1.45 pm at four-storied building. The furniture manufacturing factory was situated on the ground floor,’’ M N Anucheth, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru West, told reporters.
The owner of the building resides on the second floor and a madrasa was functioning on third and fourth floors. The Fire and Emergency Services personnel have rescued 10 people, including four children and three women from the building.
“We have identified the deceased as Mehtab, 27, and Abdul Hafiz, 35. The bodies were shifted to Victoria Hospital for postmortem,’’ the DCP said.
