Tumkur: In an unfortunate incident, two people lost their lives when an old building was being demolished on Thursday evening, in Thigalarapalya near Byadarahalli.

The deceased have been identified as Lakshmana (60), a local resident and Shankarappa (35), a labourer.

The bodies of the deceased, that were trapped under the debris of the building, were recovered with the assistance of the Fire Department personnel and the police.

Another person, a resident of Raichur, was injured in the incident and has been admitted to the Sunkadhakatte hospital.
