Tumakuru: Former Minister Sogadu S. Shivanna was leading as a BJP candidate from Tumakuru Assembly constituency for the assembly elections, but sitting MLA G.B. Jyothiganesh has been given a ticket by the BJP high command.

He held a meeting with his supporters at Makam Kalyana Mantapa in the city and held discussions with BJP workers that he would resign from the membership of the party.

Sogadu Shivanna, who helped the party grow by building the party in the BJP for over half a century, was denied a ticket in the last assembly elections, but S. Shivanna’s hopes of getting a ticket this time around have been disappointed.
For the past 15 days, he has been campaigning in Tumakuru city for votes and notes.

However, when the name of sitting MLA G.B. JyothiGanesh came up in the list as the BJP candidate from Tumakuru city, Sogadu Shivanna today said that he will resign from the party fold. Will Sogadu Shivanna rebel because of the bjp’s differences? No, it remains to be seen if the party will stay here.
