Tumakuru: Former MLA K. N. Rajanna has said that the Congress party in the district would have been finished if Deve Gowda had not been defeated in the last Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing an election rally at Rajiv Bhavana premises in Koratagere, he said there was a major reason for defeating Former Prime Minister H. D. Deve Gowda in the Lok Sabha elections. Deve Gowda had to be defeated in the elections because he would have demolished the Congress party in the district, he said.

Let him make a statement against me in Madhugiri and instead of that, he will break down in tears and say to defeat Parameshwara, who fought day and night to win over Deve Gowda, he said.

There is no doubt that the JD (S) is a party of caste and there is no doubt that the BJP is a party of corrupt people. It has inducted corrupt people who do not work for the people, adding that it is the JD (S) which has created a drama company, he said.
