Tumakuru: G.N. Bettaswamy, a backward classes leader who was shocked after he was denied a Gubbi ticket in the BJP’s second list, complained of cardiac arrest and was admitted to Siddaganga hospital in Tumakuru on Wednesday midnight.
Bettaswamy was brought to the hospital by his family around 2 am and he underwent all kinds of heart tests and treated him till morning.
According to the information provided by the hospital authorities, he stayed in the hospital till morning after learning that he was mentally depressed due to the reason that he was not given a ticket by the party and was not suffering from a heart attack due to stress and returned home after receiving treatment.
At a press conference yesterday, G. N. Betta Swamy was of the opinion that he would work hard to ensure the victory of the BJP irrespective of whose party gave him the ticket. It is known that earlier this statement of Betta Swamy, one of the party leaders called and told that the ticket has been confirmed but before the announcement, he had directed him to make a statement like this to clarify the situation of the ticket competition.
It is being discussed within the BJP circles that Bettaswamy’s statement was made as per the directions of the high command and dileep kumar was shocked when he lost the ticket after he made the statement. Meanwhile, Bettaswamy’s statement has also raised doubts about an understanding and it remains to be seen how these developments will affect the elections.
