Tumakuru: Congress and BJP workers clashed during the inauguration of the new building of Indira Gandhi Residential School at Negalal in Koratagere Taluk on Friday December 9.

An argument broke out between BJP leader Anil Kumar and Congress workers over the issue of a saffron shawl during a stage programme at Narasapura Residential School. There was also a scuffle between BJP and Congress workers over the issue of the nameplate.

Later Congress-BJP workers at a residential schools in Negalal raised slogans in favour of their leaders in a show of strength against each other.
