Tumakuru: Assembly poll 2023: General holiday declared on May 10

Tumakuru: The Karnataka Government has declared a general holiday for all Central and State Government offices, schools, colleges, various organisations and private institutions (including aided educational institutions) in their respective constituencies to enable voters to cast their votes in the voting process to be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, in connection with the Karnataka Assembly Elections.

This leave does not apply to emergency services. All Government employees assigned to election duties shall attend to election duty.
In order to facilitate the smooth conduct of polling in the respective constituencies, if the polling booth has been set up in Government offices and Government schools, the concerned returning officers shall take action if there is a need to declare a holiday for such offices and schools on May 9, 2023 for preparatory work on May 9, 2023, and only at the centres where the counting of votes will take place on May 13, 2023.
