Bengaluru: Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has ordered a probe into allegations of irregularities involved in the white topping of major roads in the city and Tender Sure works.

In a letter to the Principal Secretary, Urban Development Department, the Chief Minister asked for a report to be filed on the works taken up under these two initiatives.

It has been alleged that during these two projects, over Rs 2,000 crores has been misappropriated.

A few senior BJP leaders had urged the CM to order an investigation in this regard.

As these works were undertaken when Dr G Parameshwar and K J George were the Bengaluru Development Ministers, they are expected to end up in the soup.
