Bengaluru: Transfers in the Public Works Department (PWD), headed by minister HD Revanna, the elder son of former prime minister HD Deve Gowda, have crossed the 900 mark. The total number of transfers reached 908 when, on Monday evening, 13 assistant executive engineers were transferred.
“In the last one week, at least 25 officers were transferred in the department. Most of these officers are assistant executive engineers,” said sources at the department.
According to them, the transfer date was concluded on August 15. “The transfer of officers has continued without any checks in the Public Works Department. With the Chief Minister’s Office expressing its helplessness in putting a stop to the transfers, every day, transfer orders are issued via the minister’s office,” they added.
