Bengaluru: A 3-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a 46-year-old man at a daycare centre run by his wife in Jagjivanram Nagar police limits on Friday.

Chainrup Baradia, a resident of Jagjivanram Nagar hailing from Rajasthan is the accused.

The police have registered a case against the accused under several sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

The police said that his wife Sandhya Baradia has been arrested for running the daycare centre from their home without permission from the authorities.

The victim and the accused have been subjected to medical examination to confirm the assault.

The incident came to light after victim’s parents rushed her to private hospital near their house when the girl started complaining of stomach pain.

Only few days ago, a four-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a dance teacher at a summer camp that was being held in a private school in Kempapura near Hebbal and the accused dance teacher Peter was arrested by the Amruthahalli police.
